Capital A takes majority stake in technology company ESC
Investment company Capital A, active in Belgium and the Netherlands, takes a majority stake in the East-Flemish ESC. With the extra capital and the business expertise, the technology company from Ghent aims to continue to meet the unceasing demand for smart software and IT specialists.
ESC counts 155 employees and is a specialist in Microsoft business software, modern workplaces and e-business. The company is Trends Gazelle 7 years in a row already and is Microsoft's number 1 cloud partner regarding Dynamics 365 Business Central in Belgium. After the takeover of competitor SDE in 2020, ESC is evolving further as the platform of choice for digitalization of small and medium-sized enterprises in Belgium.
“The digital transformation of SMEs is in full swing. With an investment partner as Capital A, we can match our technology and consultancy services even better to customer demand on the one hand, as well as to the needs of our employees on the other,” states Benny Van Hyfte, CEO of ESC.
Capital A invests from Antwerp and Amsterdam in companies in Belgium and the Netherlands with a clear growth history. In addition to a capital investment, it offers access to a large complementary network, expertise on a financial and strategic level and, where necessary, hands-on support for further acquisitions.
"Companies today are increasingly aware of the need for digitization. The expertise within ESC ensures that these customers are fully taken care of during their digital transformation. We are very impressed by the growth path that ESC has achieved in recent years and the added value they offer their customers. We are therefore pleased to support, together with the Smet family, the management and the broader team, the further growth of ESC. Next to our current activities, we will also continue to focus on product development and will look for partnerships with other companies in our neighboring countries, in order to be able to provide our customers with the best possible service," explains Robin Janssens, Investment Manager at Capital A.
